Anon: Homestuck Assault
Okay, where do I begin… I want to start off by saying that I try my hardest to be open-minded and not jump to conclusions. I do my very, very best not to make general assumptions about a fandom based on a handful of people, nor do I shy away from a series if the fandom is off-putting. But sometimes that’s just very hard to do, isn’t it?
So I guess it goes without saying that it feels as if Homestuck has taken over the world by now. I don’t read it, but I do have several friends that do. They respect that though (well, all except for one, but that’s another story) and Homestuck is only mentioned in passing among us, like if I’m asking them what they’re doing at the moment or something like that. Now up until recently I’ve had a neutral opinion of Homestuck. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it, and I certainly thought nothing of the fandom.
Well. That’s changed. Drastically.
